About the distillery
Fettercairn produces a Highland whisky style often associated with tropical fruit, cereal sweetness and a distinctive waxy texture. The distillery is particularly known for its unusual cooling ring system surrounding the stills, designed to influence reflux and spirit character. Its modern releases increasingly emphasize freshness and fruit rather than heavy oak or peat.
