About the distillery
Glengyle marked a symbolic revival for Campbeltown whisky when production resumed in the early twenty-first century under the stewardship of the Mitchell family behind Springbank. Its Kilkerran releases aim to recreate a more traditional Campbeltown style emphasizing oiliness, maritime influence and restrained peat rather than modern polish. Despite its relatively recent rebirth, the distillery quickly gained credibility among enthusiasts seeking historically rooted whisky styles.
