About the distillery
Oban sits physically and stylistically between Highland and Island whisky traditions, producing compact, maritime malts in one of Scotland’s oldest urban distilleries. Surrounded closely by the harbor town that grew around it, the distillery produces whiskies balancing gentle smoke, coastal salinity and orchard fruit with a slightly oily texture. Its small scale and broad appeal have helped make Oban one of the most consistently respected names within the Highland category.
